Marchmont bombed by Zeppelin

No this not a joke – but a true event in history.

On the night of 2 April 1916 Edinburgh was bombed by two Zeppelins with significant loss of life.

One of the best known incidents was at No. 30 Marchmont Crescent which was hit by a bomb which fortunately failed to detonate – but travelled through all 3 floors in the process.
